Turn Your Time, Talent & Commitment Into Opportunity.
The Legacy Civic™ Volunteer to Employment Program is a structured workforce-development pathway created to help volunteers and mentorship participants build practical experience, strengthen professional skills, demonstrate reliability, and prepare for future employment opportunities.
Participants learn by working within real Legacy Civic programs, community activities, events, technology education initiatives, administrative operations, creative projects, media initiatives, customer support, outreach programs, merchandise activities and other approved assignments.
Your journey is about more than completing volunteer hours. It is about building a professional track record, developing relationships, learning how an organization operates and showing what you can do.
More Than Volunteering.
Every assignment is an opportunity to learn. Every new responsibility can strengthen your experience. Every person you meet can become part of your professional network.
Earn Your Opportunity.
Each One Will Teach One —
And All Will Teach the World™
Legacy Civic is built around a culture of shared knowledge. Participants learn from supervisors, instructors, mentors, experienced volunteers, team members, community partners, professionals and one another. When you learn something, you should become capable of helping someone else understand it. When another participant knows something you do not know, you should be comfortable asking questions and learning from them.
The goal is to become more capable, more confident, more professional and more prepared for opportunity.

Seek knowledge instead of pretending to have it. Learning is part of the process.
Your Journey Can Grow With You
There is no single path for every participant, but consistent performance can create opportunities for additional responsibility and advancement.
What Legacy Civic Looks For
You do not have to know everything when you begin. You must be willing to learn.
Important Employment Notice
Participation in the Legacy Civic™ Volunteer to Employment Program is voluntary unless otherwise established through a separate written employment agreement.
Volunteer participation, mentorship, program points, service hours, training, certificates, evaluations or completion of the program do not constitute an offer, promise or guarantee of employment.
Employment opportunities are based on factors including available positions, organizational needs, funding, qualifications, skills, performance, attendance, professional conduct, interviews, references, required documentation, eligibility requirements where applicable and final organizational approval.
Any paid employment relationship will be established separately through appropriate employment documentation.
People Deserve An Opportunity To Demonstrate Their Potential.
Some people need experience. Some need training. Some need mentorship. Some need professional references. Some need exposure. And sometimes a person simply needs someone to give them an opportunity to show what they can do.
Legacy Civic seeks to create an environment where learning, experience, professional relationships and opportunity can come together.
Your Opportunity May Begin
With One Decision:
Show Up.
Your first responsibility may be setting up a table, helping someone register, supporting an instructor, attending an outreach event, learning a new system or helping another volunteer. Every responsibility gives you an opportunity to demonstrate who you are becoming.
Volunteer. Learn. Serve. Grow. Lead.
