Welcome to Legal Bridge Advocacy | Your Representatives for NYC Agency Issues

What Is a Public Administrative Hearing?

A Public Administrative Hearing, also known as a Fair Hearing , allows you to explain to an Administrative Law Judge why you believe a decision made by a local social-services agency was incorrect.

After reviewing the information and evidence presented, the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, Office of Administrative Hearings, issues a written decision. That decision determines whether the agency acted correctly and may direct the agency to correct an error involving your situation,  case or benefits.  It is a clients public right to challenge any and all wrongful agency decisions.

With 30 years of experience, Legal Bridge Advocacy helps clients organize evidence, understand the hearing process, prepare their case and represent clients to challenge agency decisions, delays or errors affecting essential public services, benefits or rights.

When an agency decision affects your life, you deserve to be heard.

Legal Bridge Advocacy is not a law firm. Our advocates are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice or guarantee outcomes.

Advocacy Against Discrimination

At Legal Bridge Advocacy, we help clients understand agency procedures, organize important information, prepare for administrative hearings and communicate their concerns effectively. We advocate for individuals who believe they have experienced unfair or discriminatory treatment based on race, gender, age, religion, disability or another protected characteristic. Discrimination can deny equal access to services, restrict opportunities and cause serious emotional and financial hardship. We understand everyone doesn't understand the technical side of administrative law.

Often times discrimination may be direct, such as unequal treatment or denial of services or indirect through biased policies, stereotyping and unfair administrative practices. We help clients document their concerns, organize supporting evidence and clearly present how an agency’s actions have affected them. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, fairness and respect. This is why we are here, to represent such clients.
